Since 2010, the fourth highest airport in the world, Ngari Gunsa Airport (4274) is serving for military as well as public purposes. It is located in the town of Shiquanhe (Ali) in Ngari Prefecture situated that is in southwest of China's autonomous region of Tibet. 2 hours’ flight from Ali Airport takes us to Lhasa. And, from Lhasa, the holy Mansarovar Lake is just 200km far. The holy Kailash Parvat (6714m.) is nearby Mansarovar. Kailash region is a popular pilgrimage destination for the followers of The Hinduism, The Buddhism, The Jainism and the Bonpos.
Mount Kailash Manasarovar: Mt. Kailash is a mysterious peak which is worshipped as the dwelling of Hindu God, Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. It is situated at an altitude of 6714m. The ultimate faith of Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bonpos is Kailash Parvat as the superior power in this Earth. Tibet has also become a world famous pilgrimage destination as it is sacred home to Kailash Peak and Mansarovar Lake. Furthermore, the four great rivers of Asia namely, The Brahmaputra, The Ganges, The Indus and The Sutlej also originate from this snow covered peak.
To make a circumambulation of this holy peak of 53 km periphery is a way to get rid of all known and unknown sins ever committed in life with blessing of Salvation from Lord Shiva as per Hindus. Similarly, Buddhist worship mount Kailash as the meditating spot of Lord Shakyamuni and Jains believe that their first Saint obtain Mokshya meditating at Kailash region.
Physically also this black peak is unique and mysterious like that of a handle of a millstone. The Buddhist symbol “Swastika” in its southern side has lift up its spiritual significance. It is taken as symbol of good fortune. Large number of devotees from different nooks and corner of the world, especially from the neighboring country India comes to land on this divinity. Nearby Mount Kailash, another religious Lake called Mansarovar is situated. This holy trip begins from Kathmandu to Lhasa flight and drive to Kailash Manasarovar tour. After completing Kora, we will spend one night at Darchen. Next morning, we will drive to Ali airport & fly to Lhasa. Spending one night at Lhasa and we fly back to Kathmandu on next day.

Note: 3 nights in 3 places like Manasarovar Lake, first day of Kora - Dirapuk & second day of Kora -Zuthulpuk will be dromedary bed room and very basic toilets available.
Oxygen is less at higher altitudes. The inclement weather and high altitude induces certain illness generally not encountered over the plains. Headache, nausea, lassitude, lethargy, breathlessness, general uneasiness [malaise], high irritability, light loss of balance, disorientation, incoherence and insomnia are a few. It is common to all irrespective of the age, sex and physical fitness. Gradual acclimatization is the best answer. Tranquilizers, sleeping dose and strong anti-biotic must be avoided. Some of symptoms indicate that the body mechanism is readjusting to new environments. The best idea is deliberately slow down all the activities and follows the following rules
Relax-do not exerts, be excited, make rest
Reduce talking each other
Walk slowly – adopt one third of your speed and space.
Keep your load light.
Walk for 30 minutes & rest for 5 minute whenever you feel uncomfortable, just stop; rest and relax.
Ignore the sudden outbursts of fellow pilgrims and avoid arguments.
Observe silence with smile, never go too high and too fast.
Consume plenty of liquids; never proceed with an empty stomach.
Chant a prayer or visualize everything around to suit your pleasant thoughts or put on the earphones and listen to your favorite music, Bhajans, chanting etc.
Be careful not to catch a cold. It is better to be over clothed than under protected.
On-route avoids taking bath or drinking water from Lake Streams or rivers, as your system is not conditioned for this.
Protect yourself against dust and direct sunshine during the long stretches of driving.
Face, feet and hands must be well protected.
The uneven ground, steep slope and slushy banks are full of potholes.
Do not combine walking and sightseeing together.
Always listen to your guide or the one with experience. Never leave the group.
